Navigate the World with College of Nursing, Taipei Medical University, Ranked No. 1 Nationally in Nursing Subject, Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU)

Shanghai Jiao Tong University recently announced the 2017 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU). College of Nursing, Taipei Medical University, ranked no. 15 globally in the field of Nursing and no. 1 nationally with impressive performance. Dean of College of Nursing, Taipei Medical University, Kuei‐Ru Chou stated that the research energy of the college has been climbing continuously in recent years under the leadership of the university with outstanding performance. Taipei Medical University has rich clinical resources from five of its affiliated hospitals, and it provides an excellent research environment for its faculty and students to demonstrate the teamwork spirit and compete as a team instead of individuals for greater research achievements. There are four indicators for the field of nursing evaluation in this year’s ARWU, including the number of papers published in top journals (TOP), the percentage of internationally collaborated papers, the citation percentage of papers (CNCI), and the number of academic papers published (PUB). The grading indicator focuses mainly on research. College of Nursing, Taipei Medical University, published many papers in top international journals in recent years and its research achievements were internationally recognized. Dean Kuei‐Ru Chou stated that this honor belongs to the entire faculty and students of the College of Nursing and the Nursing Department staff of three affiliated hospitals.
